InEExS Project: ENERCOOP's Solution for Energy Communities

Within the InEExS project, ENERCOOP is developing a unique solution to improve the self-consumption and energy efficiency of energy communities that have solar PV installations. The goal is to create incentive mechanisms that encourage community members to consume energy while PV installations are producing power, thus optimising self-consumption, increasing savings, and reducing system energy losses.

This innovative approach involves a three-stage process:

1. Informing members through a mobile app that optimises their participation in the energy community and enhances their energy knowledge.
2. Providing decision support with energy efficiency tips based on members' behavior.
3. Incentivising through visualising economic savings and using gamification methods to improve the community's efficiency.

The solution offers a clear methodology and proof of concept to help communities improve their self-consumption from PV installations and enhance energy efficiency using Pay4Performance schemes and blockchain technology for transparency and traceability.
