From Buildings to Communities: Innovation in Energy Efficiency and Grid Integration

⚡ Following the successful Smart Energy Cluster session at Enlit Europe 2024, where the projects InEExS LIFE, DEDALUS EU, EU-MORE, FORTESIE EU, RESONANCE, DigiBUILD, and ReSCHOOL showcased how innovation and collaboration are transforming the European energy landscape, the Cluster continues its mission to advance sustainable energy solutions.
Building on that momentum, the 2025 edition deepens the focus on connecting buildings, communities, and grids through cutting-edge technologies, digitalisation, and citizen engagement.
The Smart Energy Cluster workshop at Enlit Europe 2025 demonstrates how Europe’s energy transition can be accelerated by linking building-level innovation with community-driven energy models and smart grid integration.
Through two dedicated sessions, the event brings together six EU-funded projects, ReSCHOOL, ENPOWER, CRETE VALLEY, SMARTeeSTORY, DEDALUS, and META BUILD, to explore how their combined solutions are transforming energy management across buildings and communities.
The discussions focus on:
- Smart building renovation and retrofit
- Energy efficiency and flexibility management
- Citizen participation in local energy markets
Participants will exchange knowledge on how digitalisation, advanced data integration, and innovative business models are reshaping Europe’s approach to sustainable energy.
